Warming Foods

Most of these foods are warming foods. Which means they will create more heat in the body, and this will help speed up our metabolism. Foods such as chilli, pepper, capsicum and ginger stimulate receptor cells in the body that increase fat mobilization. The aim of boosting our metabolism is to increase our resting metabolic rate, meaning our body burns fat at a higher rate than before. Foods that help stimulate blood circulation and produce thermogenesis (heat producing), are the foods that do this the best.

Grapefruit has been studied and shown that including grapefruit helps weight loss. We know that one of grapefruit’s actions is to activate liver clearance pathways; which is why it is not recommended if you are taking particular medications, so please check your medications before adding grapefruit. By activating this particular pathway in the body, it may help clear out more effectively toxins that traditionally store in fat cells, and help weight loss by cleaning up the cells!

Whole Grains
